Looks like someone on Wikipedia got overzellous, as the Falcon 9's status is currently "Cancelled".

Also, there is a spaceflight company called, no joke, XCOR.

That...that does not bode well.

Na, thats the Falcon 5. They were initially planning to do 1, then 5, then 9. IIRC it was the announcement of the shuttle retirement which made them decide to skip 5 and go straight to 9 (so they could get in on some of that ISS action). Turns out that went pretty well for them, since at this rate they will have falcon 9 up and running and ready for ISS duty within a relatively short period of time after the shuttles are done. Not to mention Obama's new space plan which makes a pretty big investment in them.

I did a 1200 word capstone essay on private spaceflight during my composition class a couple years back, so I know of most of the major private spaceflight companies and what they are up to. Armadillo Aerospace is my personal favorite. :)

Except Blue Origin that is... But I'm not sure anyone does. The wiki page about them calling their website "Spartan" is a bit of an understatement.
