Already suggested, can't find it at the moment.

P.S. Dwarf Mc Dwarf, stop suggesting things :P

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
Unfortunately dying involves the amputation of the entire body from the dwarf.

If you dig deep enough you will find a magma ocean. It is continually replenished from the edges of the map. That ought to be enough magma for anyone.

This is so stupid on so many levels.

Even if you're trolling.

Wouldn't work. To be realistic, magma is molten rock. It can't pour out of walls like magma does. This therefore renders your suggestion moot.

But it already is replenished from magma flow tiles... which makes the suggestion redundant.

Anyhow...

Might work as a Fun suggestion — instead of aquifers, you get magmafers on top of your stone layers. Overcoming a magmafer would therefore be a dwarfy achievement.

I already go through the inits and rip any mention of 'aquifer' out with my bare hands. No. Thank. You.

Nice one, not sure when I'll be feeling like killing a baby but these things are good to know.
This is why we can't have nice things... someone will just wind up filling it with corpses.

Old One Eye, he might not have been trolling. He might also been an excited 8 year old, so no need to insult the poster.

Cespinarve, why do you remove all aquifiers?

If you´d have a low metling point rock on top of a high melting point rock near a hot spot, then the magma coudl expand sideways, essentialy creating a kind of magquifer, no?

Actually, wouldn't it be easier to pierce a magma aquifer than a a water one? As long as the water sources like rivers and ponds are still intact it would be ridiculously easy.  :)

As for the suggestion in general, like others have already mentioned.
