Hi everyone,

Is there anyway I can prevent cats/dogs from adopting my dwarves/or make them butcher able anyway.

I'd also like to increase their birthrates.

Thankyou very much for the help!

Dogs will not auto adopt dwarves.

The "vermin hunter" tag on cats causes it as one of its many side effects.

[LITTERSIZE:x:y] is what controls how many offspring a pregnant animal will give birth to. There's a [MULTIPLE_LITTER_RARE] tag that you'll need to ensure isn't present, for best results (I don't think cats or dogs have that though).
Pregnancy always lasts 9 months and can't be modded, but if you remove the [BABY:x] and [CHILD:x] tags, your creatures will be born as (tiny) adults that can breed immediately.
You might want to increase their size at birth, by upping [BODY_SIZE:0:0:x], if you would like to butcher them for more meat, straight away.

I am not sure if the lack of CHILD or BABY really allows them to breed. Did you try it? I thought it prevents them from breeding so added CHILD:1 just in case.

Is it in creature_domestic.txt?
I can't find it.
I'm using 2010, Littersize isn't there.

I was under the impression that it was just the [MALE] and [FEMALE] tags that controlled breeding, but I haven't tested it, no.

Hmm. Well, it works regardless. Just put it in somewhere in the raws for cats or dogs (in creature_domestic, yeah) and remove [MULTIPLE_LITTER_RARE] if that tag is present.
