Phenom DF Boost
« on: May 19, 2010, 12:54:02 pm »

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but.. to all those AMD Phenom sufferers, you might get a huge speed boost from disabling the TLB patch or, it seems, using AMD's Fusion program (gee thanks AMD, cripple your cpus and then release a program to fix it with the label 'amd boost'). I am getting 2-3x the FPS compared to when the TLB is enabled ( it is under windows ).

Have fun.

Hmm, it should be fixed with those cpus, but it's worth a try.  Try this method: http:// www . rebelshavenforum . com/sis-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=13;t=000111

If not, take a look at AMD Fusion. It has some interesting features.

(Windows 7 x64 / Phenom x4 9500 here, by the way)

What's with the spaces in the link?

EDIT: Don't you mean AMD Overdrive? Fusion is their new CPUs.

Dwarven blood types are not A, B, AB, O but Ale, Wine, Beer, Rum, Whisky and so forth.
It's not an embark so much as seven dwarves having a simultaneous strange mood and going off to build an artifact fortress that menaces with spikes of awesome and hanging rings of death.

(Uhm.. I wasn't sure if I was allowed to link to other sites/forums .. :p )

AMD Overdrive = overclocking tool that can be used by AMD Fusion ( a performance improving tool ) to automatically overclock.. or something. That feature seems to be only for the newer AMD cpus.
