N-n-n-n-necro! Out of laziness and an urge to discuss this game, I raise it from the depths. Gambits empire builder mod is pretty sweet, anyone want to play it alongside me?

Not yet, apparently, but it should exist on older versions of Wesnoth still, right?

Hmm.. I played this a long time ago..
I mean.. A long time ago..

But I've redownloaded it again, so yeah.. And I have a few questions.. Ohh yeah, you don't have to answer the first one.. Heh.

How the hell is it so pretty?
What's the deal with the Campaigns now?
DRAKE'S WTF OP OR WUT?
And how do you get mods to work?

Two weeks is not a necro. Two years would be though.

DRAKE'S WTF OP OR WUT?
I always use humans, so I don't really know. Mage spam, with Horseman spam, always beats the undead. Except those damn Ghosts. I really hate the Ghosts.

Last time I checked(I doubt I have the latest version), Drakes had excellent movement, and were effective in hills and mountains, but the Dwarves and probably Orcs also do well in the hills, and are also even better in caves, which the Drakes(and most everyone else) suck at. Drakes' magic users leave plenty to be desired, but many of their units can breathe fire anyway. Their high movement also means they have good spotting, making ambush tactics your friend. And their troops are relatively stronger than most other races.

All in all, they're really powerful for players who know how to use them.

They asked me how well I understood theoretical physics. I told them I had a theoretical degree in physics. They said welcome aboard.
... Yes, the hugs are for everyone.  No stabbing, though.  Just hugs.
