Can't assign jobs to jewelers workshop?
« on: May 16, 2010, 07:37:24 am »

I'm having an issue where I can't tell a jewelers workshop to do anything. I get to the "add new task screen" with the cut gems and encrust options but when I press "c" or "e" nothing happens.
Is this a known issue? Or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks.

No, you're right on the money. C for cut and E for encrust; assign those and, provided you have a jeweler that isn't on break or doing anything, you're all set. Did you try assigning tasks through the job manager rather than the workshop?

If it's not the job manager and you're in the workshop itself, it may be something as simple as +'ing down to highlight the gem you want to cut or encrust.  Or even the caps lock key?  I haven't heard of jewelers shops being bugged.

I'd say caps is the most likely answer.  I've had that happen quite a few times especially after I've double-tapped it coming off either the a or tab keys.
