Central Staircase problems
« on: May 15, 2010, 06:55:21 pm »

So in the new version, if you fall asleep on an up/down "X" stairtile, it is treated as if you are in open space. You then fall and this can mean over 50 Z levels in the new version....

What other design techniques have people come up with for vertical fort access than the straight up and down stairway

I use vertical stairs spanning dozens of z-levels all the time and I've never had a single dwarf fall down them. Even when killed by the inevitable goblin ambushes.
