Meal types?
« on: May 16, 2010, 01:31:06 pm »

The wiki mentions that easy / fine / lavish meals both consume and produce units of food at 1:1 ratio.  What's the real difference?  Is the produced quality higher?  Is it just done in larger batches?  (Of 2, 3, 4?)

It's mainly about whether you're trying to train your cook.  E.g. easy meal = training, lavish = store food better.  AFAIK fine meals serve no real purpose.

What if you have exactly three quarry bush leaves, and absolutely nothing else cookable?  What're you gonna do then, make do with a biscuit and waste a whole leaf??  Nay, you better make a quarry bush stew.

But seriously, jcrites has it right.

Lavish meals for trading, I remember seeing someone post about how a sunshine roast gets you a whole lot of cloth ;)

I think they also will have lower quality if your cook sucks?

I use lavish meals because once cooked meals go into easy to store stacks.
