I've given the woddcutting job to a dwarf, and there are two axes on the floor. However, the dwarf isn't picking up the axe. Must I designate a squad with the woodcutter so I can equip him? I would know how to do this in 40d, but I'm a but lost in 31.03.

Nothing screams "Christmas" quite like a new release of DF.

Did you use Dwarf therapist? Miners and woodcutters are bugged in the current version of DT.

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

Yep, once the job job is set through DF instead of therapist, the woodcutter run straight to the axe and get to work.

It's a known bug. The readme file mentions it.
