How can I make a specific reaction?

can I make a specific reaction, such as creating an:
elephant skull totem from wood?
onyx from microcline?
and Iron chains from turtle shells?

You'll have problems with creating shells or bones though. I have yet to figure out how to make those. There has been many people who have tried, but so far all have failed.
