Between my map and the unusually friendly elves, I have access to about unlimited numbers of things ranging from naked mole dogs to all the ape varieties.  Is there any benefit to keeping any non-war trainable other than meat/skin/bones, or do they just have the potential to drop my frame rate through the floor?

I do have  a few wild ones that can be fought that are used as militia training.  The silly elves keep trying to sell me apes and warthogs though.
