Quick question
« on: May 03, 2010, 10:39:23 am »

Hey guys,

I'm pretty brand new to DF. I've completed "The Complete and Utter Newby Tutorial for Dwarf Fortress," which has been a massive help. I recently deleted the download that came with that guide, as it was an older version of DF. After downloading the new version and embarking, I found I have a rather embarrassing question: How do I scroll through the alt menus? In the "Newby" guide version of DF, it was shift+up and down, but in the latest version that doesn't work. Also, shift+< and > don't cycle me up and down through the z levels, like it did in the tutorial version. I've tried alt+2 and 8, along with some other likely combos, but to no avail. It seems that between the tutorial copy of DF and the latest one, some key changes were made.

Help would be very, very appreciated.

New version has a Key Bindings menu when you hit Esc. Look through there, change what you need.

Congrats, Psieye. This is the first time I've seen a derailed thread get put back on the rails.
