Floor Plate question...

Are floor plates triggered by items?  Like, if you leave an item on a floor plate will it stay triggered?  I am wondering because I wanted to make my next mega project an Indiana Jones style treasure cave with golden idols and things that trigger traps if removed.

No.

You best bet is to just put a creature pressure plate in front of the item.

I would also like to build crossbow traps and connect them to items.  I guess I should add this to suggestions...
