Ok so it is not just me the 

It kinda works for me sometimes i give them a order and THEN they check their uniforms, i don't think they check with it often enough, seems like once per season or less or something right?

I dunno it seems to be VERY VERY BUGGY 
I just want to strip my dwarves and give them some awesome fashionable clothes 

Unrelated, why is it so hard to make bronze bars? you will need tin which can be ONLY aquired from casserite (something)
which can almost only be found in GRANITE which is located very DEEPLY underground (i was lucky i found a few tiles of casserite in the bottom level of my deep fortress where i do my magma industry) i could only find like 10 tiles or so i could make several bronze axes but i hear iron armor is almost useless.
But weapon material type more important than armor material type right? because if you do no damage they will never die and it is easier to make weapons than 10 sets of metal armor for 10 dwarves = 100 armors or 10 weapons? i say 10 weapons ^^


Heck its so hard to make bronze it almost easier to just mine raw adamanite ( at least i know where to look for it ^^ )
