I can't seem to smelt adamantine. I may be tarding it up, but I've got an extractor with 11 strands sitting in the shop (they aren't tasked), and a magma smelter set up and functional, but adamantine wafers are not appearing on my list of options to smelt. what step am I missing?

try setting up a stockpile for the strands. I'm not certain but the problem might be that it doesn't recognize the ones that are in the workshop.

I tried that. i tried to unmake the building. that didn't work but...the manager lets me put in a work order to smelt adamantine and it's working. that's really weird.

A number of jobs appear to be having this sort of problem.

If it's not showing up in the workshop, it should still be accessible via the production orders. u>m>q?

I had that problem for a while, then it fixed itself.  So um ... the bug is not *quite* as bad as it seems.  I think the reason the manager works is because the time it propagates through the system, the workshop menu has "found" the adamantine.  I've had this problem on every part of the smelter at some point or other and it always eventually fixes itself.  Just have to wait (or manage).

Soap, of course, is still completely broken.

Yes, but the problem is that it isn't showing up as an option in the workshop itself.
