Veterinary medicine?
« on: April 28, 2010, 01:53:52 pm »

When my war dogs get wounded in combat, they appear on the health screen (from the z menu) as needed a diagnosis, but as they are dogs, they never get into the hospital beds, seek treatment, or get evaluated by a doctor.

Has anyone seen a dog get evaluated, or is medicine, as I suspect, limited only to Dwarves at this point?

Maybe try enabling animal care on a random dwarf? If that fails, maybe try giving it to the healthcare dwarves. I know animal care was what healed animals in the older versions.

From reading Morul's exploits, only the animals owner would heal the pet.  I wonder if that was changed.

You need to make said elf leather into the most amazing work of art.  Embed it with every kind of gem you have, stud it with metals, and sew images into it.  Erect a shrine outside your fort with that in the center.  Let the elves know that you view their very skin as naught more but a medium for your dwarves to work on.
