A few interface tweaks

Hopefully these will be fairly self-explanatory.  It needs to be easier to navigate between military and unit menus; right now you have to find the guy you want, remember his name, then find him in the other list again.  This does not need to happen.

Also, I'm sick of A+space every time the game tells me someone is more experienced or that I have a new cat.  Move the idlers section, please.

Sorry for the large images.  In lieu of fitting more stuff to fill my screen I prefer to make the stuff I have bigger.

These are some pretty groovy ideas, and I think they would very much help speed things up instead of having to rapidly hop between different menus.

Very good ideas, all of them.

Moving the idlers counter to the top of the screen would only allow for one *SEIGE* notice box to appear, though.


[Also, just a little gameplay hint, on the military screen you can select dwarves with ENTER to promote them to a squad leader if you hit enter on another dwarf. All dwarves under the leader will be indented by one or more spaces.]

Yes!  I can't count the number of times I've wished for this.

Related to this:  I really hate it when I'm going down my list of farmers to see which ones have Cooking turned on (for example), and then being hoofed back out to the game screen as soon as I leave the individual farmer.  In other words, I drill down two levels (Game Screen -> Dwarf List -> Dwarf) but get forced back in a single one (Dwarf -> Game Screen).

Please, please, please, please make it so that when I leave the individual farmer, I return to the specific place on the screen I entered.  Whenever I want to check units one by one (which is pretty often), I'm forced to scroll back down to where I was, and then I have to remember which farmer (or whatever) was the LAST one I looked at so that I can check the next one.

These are nice (especially military zoom creature), but what I really, really want is when viewing an item (select from trade depot + v; k + Enter) having an option to chasm/melt it if bookkeeper is available.

Whiiine. So very often something obstructs an important place and you have to hunt through 10k+ rocks to find it. Unsightly garment piles in dining rooms and so on.
