I don't normally participate in LP's (Because I'm as conductive to hilarity and shenanigans as a rusting pipe in a scrapyard), but dammit I just love this game so much. Can I have any position related to Torpedoes? I used to play the game with full realism settings and reached a point where I could see a ship, roughly estimate its distance/speed, manually set the torpedoes to what seemed right and score hits based entirely on gut instinct. How do you activate full realism?  I've been trying my bestest but can't find it.  Nevermind, I found it.

Also, how long does it take to kill a merchant ship with your deck gun?  A year?  I was trying to kill one for the training mission and I eventually gave up and moved on.

The deck gun is a little underpowered as expected. For best results get in close enough so that you or your crew can aim at the waterline.
