0 mechanics quests

Are story like quests acceptable here? I mean stuff like Ruby Quest, MSpaint Adventures and Fallow. Games in which have no real mechanics and are mainly based around mystery and item finding/using. You dont have to sign up to play, everyone plays the one character. I dont really know what to call them.

Are threads like this acceptable here?
