Three Things, ArtDefile/Eating/Resource Selection.

1) Ability to turn off the "artistic defilement" bad thought from the init file. (ARTDEFILE=NO) Dwarves are going insane from muddy masterwork clothes, masterwork bone bolts getting stuck in creatures as they leave the map, or masterwork meals being put in chests by stupid, stupid dwarves for some reason.

2) That dwarves get a priority list for where they try to eat, private dining rooms first, public dining rooms second. If neither of the above is possible, they just eat wherever the food is. No more going to eat at the table in a noble office then complaining about the lack of chairs. AND nobles shouldn't eat in their offices then complain about the lack of tables.

3) The ability to set what stone masons/craftdwarves use, what type of bones craftdwarves use, what wood carpenters use. I want obsidian furniture, marble statues, mahogany beds, all decorated with goblin bone. Not random rainbow rock furniture decorated by cat/dog/fish/whatever bone. Maybe an expanded Stone menu from the fort status screen, covering all stone/wood/bone, and setting what can be used for what.

If I remember correctly, in the 2d version you had the ability to choose between Light, Dark, or Regular stone when ordering something at a mason's workshop.

As you journey to the center of the world, feel free to read the death announcements of those dwarves that suffer your neglect.

One billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. One trillion b-balls being slam dunked through a hoop throughout the cosmos. I can feel every single b-ball that has ever existed at my fingertips, I can feel their collective knowledge channeling through my veins. Every jumpshot, every rebound and three-pointer, every layup, dunk and free throw.

But that was back when there was only light, normal and dark, and light and dark were worth more. Now there's, what, green, yellow, cyan, red, light, normal, and dark stone?

I think if there was a system similar to how the metalsmith shop works it would be good.

Perhaps number three could be solved with another Manager screen, only this one is accessed via the Stocks in the Status menu, and there the player would assign tasks to various materials.

EDIT: On second thought, it seems kind of silly to have two Manager screens, when an additional menu added to the existing one would suffice.
