How do you create armor for nonstandard bodyparts?
« on: April 16, 2010, 10:48:33 pm »

I'm trying to add a bestial sieger race to the game, but they are severely disadvantaged in every combat because their tails are unarmored and they inevitably get whacked there and pass out from pain.

Does anyone know of a way to create armor for specific nonstandard parts (tail, tentacle, etc)? At this point I'm basically just interested in tail armor, but if someone knows how to do it more generally for any odd part, that would be great.

Cracked open the armor raws real quick... it's difficult to read, but I think the key is LBstep and UBstep. It's not very clear, though.

You could just make the race feel no pain. Or have no tails.

If you figure this out I'm going to have to make armor for lungs, spleens, and other internal organs.
