I've been reading tutorials and such.  Can't wait to get in there and make a fool out of myself.  I'm a little confused on where to get the most current Mac version, and also which version that is. 

Is it this one?

Sorry just anxious.  I don't have a lot of free time for games nowadays and wanted to jump into the newest version.  Thank you!

Just remember, the latest version, version 31, is not for mac or linux yet, toady wants to wait for a more stable and better version before adding a mac or linux version.

Yeah, if you want to play the newest version on a mac you have to play it on Wine or with an emulator or something.

Until we get a native OSX version, I've been running DF2010 in WineBottler. Just install WineBottler, right click on the Dwarffort.exe and select run in WINE. It's easy.

You can also install regular wine: http://davidbaumgold.com/tutorials/wine-mac/

It works without config or anything once you have wine installed. The biggest difficulties in playing are laptop keyboards..

Yes, make sure to hit esc a few times, then rebind some of the keys like + and -.  The newest version runs very well under wine, and Baughn's accelerator is a must-have.
