Quick question...
« on: April 16, 2010, 03:59:31 pm »

When I go into full screen mode, often times the screen is too big to do anything.

EVERYTHING BECOMES HUGE.

And so the screen focuses on what would normally be the top left-hand corner.

Point is, I can't tell what I'm doing when full screen.  Any ideas how to fix this so that I don't have to play in windowed mode?
Also of note is that this is NOT always the case, sometimes it works right.

Fiddle with these settings:
[FULLSCREENX:800]
[FULLSCREENY:600]
[FULLFONT:curses_800x600.bmp]
 and
[FULLGRID:80:25]
I guess?

Personally, I just play in a 1668x972 (139x81 grid, 12x12 tiles) window.  It's almost as big as my screen, and I don't have to worry about any weird fullscreen whatever.

Also, you'll want [BLACKSPACE:YES] if your tile resolution doesn't divide your screen resolution evenly.

Definitely what Sizik said, makes everything nice and square in fullscreen.  :)

Also, on precisely what you described, mine does that, but only when I let the screensaver activate whilst in fullscreen.  It is easily fixed by pressing F11 to go windowed, then again to go back to fullscreen.  The screen will be correctly aligned again, rather than cutting off all but the upper left corner.

To avoid that happening, simply press F11 any time you walk away from the PC.

Or are you saying that it's like that from the time the program starts?

It's like that straight from program beginning.

Sizik's sorta worked, as it would put a big black border around it, but JoRo's answer of putting it at my screen resolution totally worked. :)

Thanks guys!
