As soon as publishers realise that an e-book doesn't directly compete with a paper or hardback I'm hoping we'll see alot more free e-books.

I've always thought it'd be cool if the government would just give everyone a cheap e-book reader, and set up a public online library of public domain and donated books. That way everyone in the country would have access to all the greatest works of literature at all times. It'd probobly be cheaper than keeping libraries in every town too.
