Armor for pets?

We all know that a dead pet is one of the leading causes of tantrum-spirals. So to help cut down on unnecessary deaths we should be able to deck fluffy out In a suit of armor like this:

Invaders should totally ignore animals that pose no threat to them. Likewise for cattle. Raiders killing livestock might make sense but the AI isn't anywhere near making actual judgments like that.

Pet armor should be added, it probably will be right around the time toady decides to get the mountable tag working, allowing your dwarves to ride animals into battle. It'd be nice to be able to deck war animals out in decent armor though, really open up new ways to defend a fort. Giant desert War scorpion clad in masterwork adamntite barding anyone?
