For those of you who are getting squicked out by the thought of adamantine stitches, bear in mind that IRL stitches are made of plastic. That, or biodegradable cow intestines, depending on the procedure...

Now the REAL goal here is to make a mod where you can construct (functioning) adamantine body parts, sever a dorf's limb, and give them a new shiny blue arm. Train them to be a legendary wrestler. Or better yet; make the limb out of slade (I think you can obtain some by channeling? Haven't had a good opportunity to test this myself) and FALCON PAUNCH the next goblin fool who thinks your heavy arm will be a liability in combat.

Actually with how tissue layers work now, it may be conceivable to mod dwarves to have adamantine skin.

That's actually quite easy...just some word replacement on raw would do the job nicely AFAIK
