I feel like a slaver now...

I like how my dwarves will finish their job first before eating, but it sometimes gets a little ridiculous like when one of my stone crafters won't stop making mugs to eat, sleep, or drink even though he's one of 9 making mugs and this one dwarf has a dangerously low mood. What I"m getting at is there a way to let your dwarves take breaks so they won't go on a starving murderous rampage because they were late to supper?

If you don't mind a little micro, you could always cancel/suspend the job or temporarily disable the labour when you notice this.

'fraid I dun know if there's a better way, but if it's really a problem, hopefully Toady will slip something in with the bug fixes.

Make them a really nice dining room, perhaps with a nice waterfall, and all of their troubles will go away.

Other than that, I have yet to discover a way to make them stop except manually canceling all of their jobs. Sorry.

It also helps to have single space Drink stockpiles right next to there workshops.

They will occasionally (I mean rarely) take a quick drink between jobs, most often though they wait till they are about sober.

But atleast this way there will be booze right there when they do take a break.
