Ironhand's Graphics Set
« on: April 20, 2010, 05:58:54 pm »

Hey guys!

I think a lot of you have seen my new graphics set in Creative Projects,
but if you haven't seen it yet, you should come check it out and give me input!

I'm building up a graphics set from scratch, with a tileset sort of from scratch.
It's 18x18 pixels, and I think it's pretty exciting. It's also very very young.
Anyway, it's a work in progress, and I'd love to hear your thoughts about it.

You can find it in creative projects here.

I actually won't be updating regularly for a couple weeks because of finals and stuff,
but I'd love to hear you guys' input if you're willing to share it.

Thanks!

Excellent work! I love your style =D
Are you going to release once the dwarves and tileset are completely done? Will you work on animals etc for a second release?
I'll be sure to check up frequently!

It might be a while.

But yeah, I'll release the tileset and dwarves when they're done.
That is supposing I have an OpenGL version to use by then.
Because I'm using a semi-transparent .png for the tileset.
Also, I can't get graphics sets working on the 0.31 as it is...

But yeah, hopefully OpenGL will fix all that, and I'll be able to
follow up that release with a graphical one of my own.

Animals and monsters are definitely an eventual goal as well.
I haven't seen any graphics sets this big before, so I'm pretty
much drawing everything from scratch. So it's pretty slow going.

But keep up with me! I probably won't update this thread, but
you can see what I'm doing in the one in Creative Projects.

No problem! I'm rootin for ya. I run at a high resolution so I would like something a little bigger than 16x16 (largest I have found really)
