Has anyone made any binge software yet?
« on: April 08, 2010, 09:24:15 pm »

Just to be clear, when I say binge software, I mean software made to report your current DF statistics to a server running a daemon listening for the statistics to map out a sort of leaderboard for if a bunch of kiddies want to get together and play in a Dwarf Fortress 24 hour binge.  I know my college dorm floor would be willing if the software existed.

If it doesn't exist, would anyone experienced in the subject of reading memory values from other running software give any advice or point me in the right direction to resources so I could attempt to make it myself?  I know some programing, but I have no idea how to go about reading a value from a running piece of software that was not expecting to have it's integer values read externally.

You have an entire dorm floor playing DF?

...I wish I had lived there when I was in college...
