Breeding Idea, needs testing

I dunno if it's been tested, but how does the breeding system work?

If I had 4 male dogs and 4 female, I would get 4 litters of puppies, correct?
BUT
If I had 1 male dog and 7 female dogs, would I get 7 litters (each female gets knocked up), or 1 litter (because of one male)?

Basically what I'm asking is can 1 male impregnate all the females with It's spores

yes, you need only one male, anywhere outside of a cage on your map, to impregnate any number of females.  Furthermore adult females may arrive on your map already pregnant.

Sentients that can marry appear to be the only ones who are limited to one male/one female pairings.
