I still don't get what's so awesome about Chuck Norris.

Now that I said that, will he kill me in my sleep?

He doesn't have to.  You don't know it, but he's already killed you.

Mmkay, different question. What if Ironblood AND Chuck Norris booth piloted Gurren Lagann? 'Cause, you know, it has two cockpits.

...

But anyway. Back to spears. I'm thinking something CAN be done on the modding side to make weapons more effective and armor less all-protecting, but it'll require some careful balancing. As it stands, even cloth armor will generally be decent protection against attack - because the game doesn't seem to have the notion of "tear through". What happens is the sharp attack encounters the cloth, bypasses it due to high sharpness, but the consecutive layers meet less force because despite "tearing" the sharpness of the attack has been reduced. That's about the only way I see that would allow for the kind of stuff that goes on now, where swords bruise things through leather cloaks.

I'm finding that the best way to get some good weaponry is to raid an obsidian tower naked. Find yourself a guy with a silver maul and wrestle it out of his hands. Then beat him to death with it. He likely has some iron armor on, allowing you to really shatter every bone. Next, find a woodcutter and get his halberd/axe. You've now got some basic armor, a peasant decimating weapon and a soldier decimating weapon. Get some GCS silk clothes also as they seem to be very protective, oddly enough.

He he he.  Yeah, it almost looks done...  alas...  those who are in your teens, hold on until your twenties...  those in your twenties, your thirties...  others, cling to life as you are able...
It should be pretty fun though.
