You can replace ribs?

Can the chief medical officer replace missing teeth too? What do they use?

No, flase ribs is just a medical term to refer to certain ribs. Nothing to do with artificial ribs.

a bit off-topic, but related in terms of alternative names.

i was fighting off some skeletal foxes and i noticed something fly off from one of them, its right eye tooth. i thought it was a typo in the raws, but after searching google i found that it's just another term for the canine tooth.

Teeth seem to break off quite often--probably because when a bite attack causes a wrestling grip, the gripping body part is considered to be a SINGLE TOOTH. Also kobolds seem to have a habit of grabbing foxes by single teeth while in combat... at least in arena.

This is a fox skull helmet. All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality. It menaces with spikes of fox bone and is encircled with bands of fox leather. This item is haunted by the ghost of Alfador Angrorung the fox.

Yeah, there is (was?) a saying about 'I'd give my eye tooth for 'xxx''.

Toady sometimes gives obscure names for common things. Eye tooth (why not just say canine tooth?) and false ribs (I've always heard them called 'floating ribs').

You can probably go replace the names in the RAW files with stuff that makes more sense.

Floating ribs are in the game.

I find it ironic that this is one of the most gruesome games I have ever seen and it is a game without any graphics.
