Importing rough gems

It'd be nice if Dwarven caravans could show up with uncut gems. Partially since they're cheaper then cut gems, and you can train your gemcutters on them. Also, it's the only way you'd be able to import Rock Crystal for making Crystal glass.

But probably only the more common ones, as the really expensive ones (ruby etc) probably will be worked on in the originating fortress, or the originating mine will already have an established distribution channel for those expensive stones.
Your fortress, being new, is not part of that distribution channel.

Perhaps better than a hard cap would be a low probability (and high price) for high end stones.

There's a tag which allows civilization to be avaliable to traid with you later, when you achieve anough wealth. I wonder is there a thing for trading goods too (like when you've just embarked, they trade with cloth/leather/food generally, but later the chance of valuable goods/gems/whatever should increase).
