Built a kitchen. Started cooking booze.

Produced several stacks of 20-40 roasts, just like always.

The caravan arrives.

I go to the trade screen, prepare to trade them roasts. I only have one stack of 20.

Frantically, I search around. The stocks screen says I only have 20.

Did 14 dwarves (I got some migrants in the summer) seriously eat over 100 units of food in half a year? Or are they chowing down on stacks of 40 roasts as if they were 1 unit?

Does this have something to do with "Cancels eat: job item misplaced" messages I get from time to time?


EDIT: On closer inspection, booze roasts now turn back into booze after a brief period of time. In retrospect I suppose that makes perfect sense.
