Video Series: Welcome to the Arena!
« on: April 02, 2010, 07:48:57 am »

I am considering maknig a Youtube video series called DF2010: Welcome to the Arena! where I pit various viewer/forumer-suggested groups of creatures against each other and put videos on Youtube. Does anyone have any ideas for pairings (Preferably ones that end relatively quickly instead of this 20-minute Bronze Colossi fight crap...)
Thanks!

What if we place bets after the teams are known but before the vid is posted? :D

Awesome idea, the people who win the bet can choose the next combat :P
I guess if there is more than one winner they can all suggest something and I can choose.

I will give it a go, but does anyone know a better video editing tool than Windows Movie Maker? I dont mind paying because I am sure I will find a bunch of uses for it anyway... Unfortunately I dont have a mic, so commentary is out of the window (Unless someone would like to help with my project by buying me one ;)...  jk :P). I think I will probably wait until all of the merges and patches are out so I can use a proper tileset and hopefully combat will not be 10 minutes of constant yellow wounds... If you are suggesting a fight, please tell me something like this:
Independant:
20 Bulls
Team 1:
4 Mermen
-Adamantine Platemail
Team 2:
100 Carp
Team 3:
50 Elves

And remember that there can be up to 99 teams plus independant, but I am far too lazy to do that many so I am setting an official limit of 8 teams.

I have decided to wait until the 40d# merge and bugfixes are out but fell free to add suggestions.
