Dwarves are really lethargic
« on: April 01, 2010, 04:35:36 pm »

Its really weird. Like a mason will be building a wall, then when he is done just sit there (with the No Job activity) for a few minutes, then eventually grab another stone and make the next section. Same thing is happening with some designations aswell.

Anybody else noticing this?

That's the sign of an abusive boyfriend, Toony... you don't have to listen to him.

I've seen that and the total opposite as well. My woodcutter has been stumbling from tree to tree thirsty and drowsy, and miners are just standing around looking at designated walls. Maybe some dwarves are just harder workers than others now.

It depends on their ability to focus.

Do we have ritalin in the pharmacy? Maybe we could put it into the still as an 'additive'.

Dwarven doctors should have a 'psychiatrist' skill to deal with Dwarven ADHD.  Also, Dwarven Ritalin which can be made from the ground-up bones of Elves.

Since elves are immortal, their bones, meat, tallow, intestines, etc, etc, should have some sort of curative properties.

I believe they should be used as recreative drugs. "Mah boi, care to buy some Elf? Only the best. It makes you burn"

some dwarves are just harder workers than others now.

Partially this, if you look in their info screen you see their personalities.  I imagine your hard workers will be the ones going without food/hyrdation, and your bums are the ones just standing there like idiots.

Though I don't particularly like the uber hard workers, I seem to have quite a few and they are very unhappy because they choose not to eat, so of course, blame the overlord for working them too hard when they could just go take a damn break!
