Wages for hauling jobs.

Do dwarves get paid the same for dragging a bin of stone blocks across the fortress as they do for moving a newly made spider silk cap in the finished goods bin?

OK, after some testing....

The hauling wage is paid when the object is put into it's place. Regardless of it's weight! So if a bin full of bars takes the better part of a season to get moved to it's destination, the dwarven do the hauling gets (IMHO) ripped off.

My suggestions :
Heavy loads should pay more!
Pay should be per square traveled not per trip. Granted a light weight object like rat remains shouldn't cost 1 gold per square but more like .1 per square traveled.

Yes, definitely! Dwarf hauls bin full of blocks from one end of the fortress to the other, taking half an hour: 1 coin. Master dwarf builds 10 statues, taking half a minute: 200 coins. The haul job is probably more useful but the poor dwarf who has to do it gets screwed out of a living.
