What are you talking about?  Dwarves aren't elves.  They actually do sing like this, in high pitched voices, and prance around, and hop about on their stubby little legs.

The difference is that they do this while testing their merchant incinerator.

It's like every aspect of DF condensed into a bizzarely unnerving song

I imagine my miners singing like this when they dig

not singing the exact lyrics, just shouting geological terms at eachother in tom waits' rum-soaked growl
