[0.31.01] Pathing bug
« on: April 02, 2010, 03:14:13 am »

I don't have many details for this bug, but pathing is sometimes broken when building constructions on top of constructed wall tops (not constructed floors). Here's what I know:
  • Sometimes I can't place a wall in accessible areas because it says there are no items in range, but only on certain tiles. Tiles right next to these may work perfectly. Dwarves also will not path through the affected tiles.
  • Sometimes I can place a wall in inaccessible areas. The first dwarf to try and build it will fail with "Cannot find path".
  • Both problems are often fixed by building additional floors next to the affected tiles.
  • This has only happened to me for tiles on top of constructed walls.

If I wanted ramps I would've designated ramps, dammit!

Workshop placement sometimes makes impathable zones. I don't know why, but many dwarves get stuck.
