I like that idea... I will try to draw up some plans and I will post them here when they are done.

EDIT: Here are some (very) rough plans. I will most likely also draw some up by hand that should look considerably better than these.

EDIT 2: .... So, paint.net is an asshole. The gray stuff is from the forums. The goddamn picture is transparent.

Actually, the image of the Gravekeeper's Palace on the page for "Very Definitely Final Dungeon" looks like a good model to base it on.  Channel out a plateau that is shaped like an inverted cone, with spikes and a long, thin (also spikey) bridge, all of which goes over a lake of magma, and leads to a massive, spikey obsidian and bauxite fortress, seemingly floating in a giant volcanic caldera!

You will probably need to use something like dtil to get all that, though.

Oh, and for the magma, you will probably want to put a cap over the real magma pipe, and then put your pump stacks on top of said covered pipe.  Magma pipes, except in odd bugs, will not overflow, so if you want magma to flow above their natural level, you have to prevent magma from touching the "real pipe".

... Damn, now I've gotten myself all excieted about this.  I'm going to have to try this, now.

Does anyone have any maps I can use for this megaproject? I started to sift through the worldgen cookbook, but there's no way I'm going to find anything and I honestly don't have the time.

RELEASE WITHIN A WEEK! I am definitely, definitely just going to wait for the next version. Next problem: I was thinking about it, and I decided it might be fun if I got some input on this idea, what anyone thinks I need to change. When I scan in the designs (basically a graphical representation of the things I want to add, they're not where I really think I'll put them), you guys let me know what you think I should add. Till then, could everyone post their thoughts/suggestions?

Well, right now, I'm thinking about what sort of fortress I would want to do, which is inspired by what I suggested in this thread... (although the new version will mean I will be experimenting with modding this new version to find its limits, and not actually PLAYING the game)

But I was thinking of making a goblin civ fortress, so that the king/leader would be an actual demon, and then trying to make him into a stereotypical Card-Carrying Supervillain, in a massive volcanic lair made of obsidian spikes (in a sort of sea-urchin like shape, but with a massive tower coming up from the middle) in a lake of lava, with lavafalls, and a long, spindly bridge that menaces with more spikes of obsidian.

Basically, I wanted to build an appropriate Final Dungeon for an adventurer.
