A brief suggestion: I believe that the thought "He/she brought someone to bed recently." should be replaced with "He/she gave someone a damn good seeing to recently."

Depends on the nature of the bringing to bed, don't you think? There's a difference between bringing a child to bed who is too tired to walk or bringing a (nominal) adult to bed who is too drunk to walk, or perhaps bringing a sick person to bed who is too weak to walk.
