Your squad named Smooth Trumpets, do they play dinner jazz?

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
Unfortunately dying involves the amputation of the entire body from the dwarf.

Nice!

My favorite squad name is still "The Balls of Steel", though.

I prefer "The Mechanical Animals" myself

If you hit a dwarf with moving water with sufficient strength it will knock the baby out of the mother's arms.  The water can then be used to sweep the baby into a well or cistern for drowning.  The device which does this can also double as a mist generator.

It seems like in every fortress, I get one or more squads called "The Strapping Pretties".

Which is just weird.

Dumb attacker?
Doom attacker?

I read Dumat Akur. :(

Dumat
(doom ought)

Akur
(aw-coor)

I suck. T_T
Also, "The Trumpets of Wiping".  Wha-what what?
What are they wiping with trumpets?

I figured they were attempting progression content in the Dwarfen equivalent of an MMO, and were fond of announcing every time the raid got massacred.

The real question is, what aren't they wiping?
