How do you stop traveling?

I press T and Shift at the same time, and start traveling. I go to my desired place, but then I can't get out of travel mode. How do you get out of it?

Hold 'Alt' and then press the direction you want to head in. Then choose to climb onto the land.

If you're got sufficient swimming skill, that is.
