I am issuing a challenge.  5 years to create as much monies as possible on the given site.


There is a magma pipe, underground river, HFS, flux, and granite.  The game starts in 201, so by early spring of 206 post a screen of your created wealth.



No cheating via the raws or tweak, everything else is fine, i.e. encrusting bolts with gems and seizing every caravan.

I ended up finding out you can speed up pregnancies by changing the mother to a cat to knock them up and changing back before labor

I'd join, but it takes me FOREVER to get through years. I pause like constantly. My oldest fort is seven years old now and I'm only beginning to trust it to run by itself.

40.c... what I have is 40.d, the current version I believe.  Would the contest still be on with either?

For that matter, what about 40d16, or does that change to much?  d16 runs more rapidly for me, so it's rather more fun to play with.

Yeah, but it doesn't really work if everyone uses a different area. It's not exactly fair.

In my opinion, to really do this right, someone should: 1) Embark. 2) Save before doing anything. 3) Upload the save somewhere.  That way, everyone would definitely start from the same situation.

We would then have to specify what gets brought on embark. Things like anvils and live stock can impact the fortress's wealth gaining strategies.

I propose an empty wagon and peasant founders.

Someone could upload the created world though and we can strategize from there.

I was able to gen a matching map with 40d16, least it looks the same.

The OP has a specific dwarf civ showing in the world map - not sure if that one is even required or if choice is allowed there too?
