Attempted Re-railing this thread, I'd say Blood elves from Warcraft.

(Prepares for incoming shit-storm)

EDIT: self fix

If you hit a dwarf with moving water with sufficient strength it will knock the baby out of the mother's arms.  The water can then be used to sweep the baby into a well or cistern for drowning.  The device which does this can also double as a mist generator.

And a translation error thousands of years ago causes an argument on the internet.

But then, life was also easier when I was running around here pretending to be a man, so I guess I should just "man up" and get back to work.

In Norse mythology the terms for elf and dwarf were often used interchangeably.
Checking Wikipedia to refresh my knowledge of Norse myth(haven't read any of that for years), it appears that the dwarves were occasionally referred to as dark-elves, but they are described as being totally different. The only similarity is that both were somehow more than mortal, with almost divine powers.

On topic: The Dweomer. Technically elves, but with incredible, dwarven looking technology. They were even called dwarves... by their giant friends. They were normal size.

I'm going to go with Galadriel.
I love dropping pansy treehuggers into the magma pit.
I love the shimmer of moonlight on leaves floating down a forest creek.
I just can't seem to do both at the same moment.

Døkkálfar, because they are pretty much just dwarves.

Ah yes, I am a fan of the Dokalfar too... the name more or less translates as Dark Elf, to signify that they live in caves. An old DOS game called Fairy Tale Adventure 2 actually portrayed them rather interestingly... they sort of bridged the gap between Drow and Dwarf.

As far as DF is concerned, my favorite elves were those serving Snang Cryptmencae, Demon Queen of Omoaxu. What seemed like an Elven Civilization that had Goblin Ethics... goblins had baby-napped so many elves, before all goblins in the civ were killed, such that the elves basically took over.

They were terrifying in combat... stealthy, lightning fast, iron-clad assasins, sweeping in with the speed and wild fury of the elves, and the wicked cruelty of the goblins.

The dwarves of Blacksun didn't stand a chance.

This has probably already been said, but I like the Dwemer from ES3: Morrowind. They are "mer" so they are *technically* Elves, but they act like Dwarves in all other aspects. They had giant iron fortresses with MAGMA casually flowing right through the rooms. They had steam-powered mechanoids to defend said fortresses. Their megaproject was to engineer a magic-enhanced battle golem to basically overthrow the gods. They pissed off the gods so much that they were pretty much wiped off the face of the map.

The Dwemer are elves like Cacame is an elf.

Link is so effeminate that even the elves find it a bit odd.
