Wireless modems

So I have this friend that has a wireless modem, but he doesn't know how to hook it up, so he called me and asked how. Thing is, I don't know either, so can anyone point me to any simple guides explaining how they work?

Like, you know, seriously. I can't seem to find any guides that give clear, detailed instructions on how this stuff works.

try googling the model number... there are many different types of wireless routers.
