Problems with finding a chipset for HP Compaq sr1719uk
« on: March 08, 2010, 07:31:15 am »

Hi all,

I made a thread a while back (thank you to all 3 of you who reply'ed) about my Windows XP buggering up.

Well I got it working and went off to find drivers/chipsets and if anyone has worked in IT or even attempt'd to do this you know how long it takes to get anything done, even the website of the manufacture sometimes doesnt help and you all over the internet trying to find what you wanted.

Anyway my question is that can someone point me in the direction of a freeware dirver/chipset detector (I'm not buying one) or point me in the direction of a download link for an ATI SB400 southbrige chipset for XP proffesional. I spent a least a good 10 hours trying to find it with no luck on HP, Compaq or ATI's websites or around variouse other websites.

Thank you to any that reply.

I already have this, it's what I used to find out that I needed SB400 chipset.

I think what I should of said was freeware driver finder or something.
