Heh, I had a mood just last night, a glass maker (I sense a pattern!)

The thing is, I had a fort in a layer of sand with a pair of magma glass furnaces, so I figured I would be fine, except she didn't go for either magma furnace, she wanted a regular one!  So I built one in an empty room off my main stair well, and she promptly went for it.  Then sat there demanding cloth... crud... wait, I just bought some silk cloth off of the dwarf traders, she couldn't possibly want... plant fiber cloth? so I draft a peasant into plant gathering and build a loom and start searching for rope reed... nothing, nothing.... human caravan shows up, yay! they should have some cloth, surely!

I start moving goods to my depot, but my trader is attending a party, and the merchants arrive and start onloading their goods... and my glass maker picks that exact moment to goes berserk... five or so tiles away from the stairs that run the height of my fortress... fortunately, I'd just begun training a military, and I had four no title marksdwarfs that I quickly put on duty and assigned to stand in the stair well.

Did I mention that all my dorfs are proficient or better in all social skills, and my glass maker was carrying her baby with her?

The glass maker takes a moment to kill her baby, giving my marksdwarfs time to get to station on the stair well...  they manage a few shots before she's on them, and she manages to injure one of their legs before she goes unconscious, and I don't know HOW no one fell down the stairs, which go all the way down to the lowest Z level, where I have my catacombs... a good 8-9 z drop from the level with the glass furnace.

As of this moment, my trader is STILL partying in the dining room.

Luckily, I suppose, I've only two casualties for now; the glassmaker and her baby.

My high-end Marksdwarf got caught in a strange mood.  Since I didn't have the materials he needed and had neither the ability nor the will to get them, I let him fester away in the corner with a war dog pinned to him for the inevitable berserker rage.  It happened sure enough, and the war dog attacked.  And lost.

Well, crap.  Now I have a berserker Marksdwarf with a whole bunch of ammo.

The situation eventually ended up with the Marksdwarf sitting in once corner surrounded by several dead dwarfs.  The other dwarfs (who were getting more bad thoughts than there are minutes in history) would always try to retrieve their dead, only to turn tail and run in the hail of crossbow fire.  At this point, I decided to surrender to my fun and abandon the fortress.

Insane, loaded marksdwarves must be the worst (barring Champions. Unless it's a Champion Marksdwarf with high/Champion skills in hammering and/or wrestling). I had one go berserk (not from a failed mood) and I had to employ my nigh-invincible Champions to gang up on her before she decided to leave her room and, say, shoot down the awesome but wounded Dungeon Master resting right next door to her. Now, if my near-Elite wrestler/marksdwarf founder goes nuts (also not from a failed mood), I expect absolute hell.

Just had a guy go melancholy because nobody wanted to eat turtle. What kind of inconsiderate ghost possesses people when they're trying to sleep then starts demanding shells?

That would be as deadly to the wielder as to anyone else!  You'd sever your own arm at the first swing!  It's perfect!

I had one recently, or rather my partner did.

I just got her into Dwarf fortress, and she had a guy get into an armorsmith mood, and he produced a platinum boot worth 200k.  The fail comes in when Urist Mc Random Dude gets a possession, fails it, and goes berserk.

Guess who he killed?  Her brand-new Legendary Armorsmith, of course.  Urist Mc Random wanted uncut gems, and I'd forgotten to tell her to always keep a few on hand.
