[40d16] Game wont save

I just got the same bug as in this (rather old) thread.

In summary: I saved the game yesterday and wanted to continue today, but the region1 save was exactly the same as the save in the last seasonal autosave.
All progress since the autosave was lost. I searched the forum and found the thread from above. Seems the bug is a bit longer around than I am.
The solution Oracle found out worked for me too.
(Oracel found out, if you make a fresh DF-unzip and copy the saves to it, it workes again.)

So I thought I quickly inform the forum, that the bug is still in there. Not sure what started it, though.

/Edit:
I guess that since in the other thread, it says its from version 38c, its not a 40d16 problem, but I used that and so I put that in the header.

Are you running Vista in admin mode? I know this causes a lot of issues with small games like these where the user loses permissions to write over existing files, so it doesn't save your progress.

I'm running 7, but there has never been any problem with saving in DF, so for once, you cant blame microsoft.
