Finder Doesn't Stop Finding
« on: February 09, 2010, 04:44:41 pm »

Previously I posted the suggestion on the suggestion boards that the finder should allow one to stop in the middle (along with other properties).  Now, however, it has the ability to 'stop in the middle', but the problem is it does not seem to stop at all: upon pressing space for 'done', it goes back to the main world viewing screen, but the finder keeps on searching, soaking up the CPU to where one cannot do anything on the world viewing screen, until it is done.  It then reveals the place it has found successfully.  So it works fine, it just doesn't stop working just fine.

Since when does it let you stop in the middle? That is more likely to be a bug than the finder continuing to do its job.

That's the great thing about this forum. We can derail any discussion into any other topic.
It's not an embark so much as seven dwarves having a simultaneous strange mood and going off to build an artifact fortress that menaces with spikes of awesome and hanging rings of death.

It doesn't stop in the middle, it just allows me to go back to the regular screen in the middle... but this, again, is worthless because it's running at fractions of an FPS.
